The British Pathe website provides access to low-resolution/large watermark versions of the newsreels over the WWW. RBC or Partner Connected Schools use broadband authentication to gain access to the high-resolution versions.

British Pathe crows again!
British Pathe has digitised its complete archive. The resources - 3,5000 hours of film and 12,000,000 stills - cover 75 years of history from 1896 until 1970 - politics, conflict, sport, technology, people, society, the world and everything!
The Schools Licence provides schools in the UK with opportunities to use the high resolution versions without charge over the schools broadband National Education Network.

The Schools Licence
Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, the Isle of Man, Guernsey and Jersey have joined the partnership.
The Historical Association, The Geographical Association and the The British Universities Film and Video Council are working with the RBCs to develop the value of the Archive for teachers and pupils.
